Six Make the Cut for Wells
Keith Wells

Defensive End Keith Wells of Gainesville High School in northeast Georgia has been one of the most heavily recruited prospects in the south this year. Coaches from all over the country have been to see him this spring, and Wells has narrowed his list of schools to six.
Keith Wells
is relatively new to the game of football, and the onrush of attention he has received this spring has even been a little surprising to the staff at Gainesville. But cureently measuring 6-5 and 222 pounds, Wells displayed incredible burst at the Kennedy/CES Combine in February with a 10-1 broad jump and a 4.53 shuttle time.
Wells has the size and speed to play outside linebacker or defensive end on the college level, and he's been getting scholarship offers this spring at both positions.
Since then, it's been extremely busy in Gainesville as coaches from all over the South and beyond have been stopping by to see Wells in person, most of whom have left scholarship offers on the table.
With so many offers to choose from, it's been hard for Wells to decide which schools he would narrow his list of favorites to, but he narrowed them this morning to a final six.
The six still in contention for the
Southeast 150
member are
Florida
,
Ohio State
,
Florida State
,
Tennessee
,
North Carolina
, and
Georgia Tech
.
Wells will be participating next Saturday in the Scout.com Southeast Elite Camp to be held at Georgia Tech. Invitations for the Scout.com

Kennedy's Take:
The home state schools don't appear to be huge players for Wells right now with Georgia not making the list and Tech not having been a team that Wells has talked about prominently this spring. The two teams that I have been told have been leaders at one time or another this spring are Florida and more recently Ohio State. Like so many battles we've seen on the field, off the field, and on the court recently, this one could come down to the Gators and Buckeyes.
