With more than ten offers, highly regarded Brandywine (MD) Gwynn Park High School defensive tackle prospect Raynard Randolph will be beginning to take his official visits and wants to start narrowing his list.
Scout.com: Where are you with recruiting right now?
Randolph: I am trying to narrow my schools down and trying to take my official visits right now. I have a few set up, NC State, Michigan State and Tennessee. I will be going on those soon.
Scout.com: Have you taken any official visits yet?
Randolph: No. I took an unofficial visit to WVU back in May. NC State is the first week in January and then every weekend after that I will be visiting schools.
Scout.com: Will you be taking all five official visits?
Randolph: Yes, I’m planning on taking all five. I will lock the other two schools in soon.
Scout.com: What other schools will get your final two visits?
Randolph: Right now it would probably be Penn State and Illinois.
Scout.com: There has been much speculation on your interest in home state team University of Maryland. You said before that Mom would be just 30 minutes away. Do they have a chance with you?
Randolph: Maryland is home so they will always have a chance with me. I’m just starting the process where I will narrow things down and pay attention to the schools and what I want for the next four schools of my life so Maryland has a legitimate chance.
Scout.com: Do you have a leader right now?
Randolph: My top three are my visits, NC State, Michigan State and Tennessee.
Scout.com: Have the coaches started to visit you at your house?
Randolph: I got a home visit from Illinois, Michigan State and NC State. I know the other coaches will be coming. I just want to make the best decision possible.
