Kevin Norwood was named the Sun Herald's South Mississippi 2008 Defensive Player of the Year and his head coach, Buddy Singleton, was named the Sun Herald’s Coach of the Year. Together they helped lead the D'Iberville Warriors to the Class 4A state title game.
