Down on the Louisiana Bayou in the parish of Ascension sits the town of Geismar. The town itself is considered part of the greater Baton Rouge area. The local high school is Dutchtown, and their athletic teams are known as the Griffins. Dutchtown Head Coach Benny Saia says he was "fortunate" to have Eddie Lacy as a Griffin.
