A talented linebacker prospect who helped lead Apopka to a 13-2 record and a berth into the Class 6A play-offs; amassing 158 tackles, 15 for a loss, four forced fumbles, and an interception. 6A FSWA All-State First Team LB, All Central Florida First Team LB.
After his junior season, Mars was named Class 6A All-State Team honorable mention, All Central-Florida football team 2nd team by the Orlando Sentinel, and All-Metro Conference football team which is named by coaches, and named a First Team Linebacker for the 2007 all FNL team.
