Garvin, whose father is the school's secondary coach, enjoyed an outstanding junior season while playing on a team loaded with stars. Garvin finished his senior year with 60 tackles and three interceptions. Offensively he rushed for over 1,600 yards and totaled 34 touchdowns.
As a running back, Garvin had 615 yards on just 32 carries and six TDs as a junior. As a cornerback on defense, he finished the year with four picks and two TDs. Garvin carries a 3.2 GPA and scored 880 on the SAT. He bench presses 300, squats 415 and has a vertical jump of 33-inches. Garvin also runs track and excels at the 100 meters (10.6), 200 meters (21.8) and 400 meters (48.0).

Garvin: "I'm a great tackler and I can cover guys well. I read well and I like to get interceptions. I have great form and technique and I'm not afraid to tackle and go after it. I still want to improve my back peddle and footwork. I need better hands too."
