The top prospect in the state of Iowa in 2004. Plays 8-Man football, and was named 1st Team All State Defensive End. Last season he caught 33 passes for 365 yards and nine TDs. He also had 50 tackles, 19 tackles for a loss, and caused three fumbles. Blum carries a 3.6 GPA and bench presses 270 pounds. He's also a standout baseball pitcher timed at 85 MPH. Blum also wrestles, and is already qualified.

Coach's Comments: "He is a great athlete," said Head Coach Ron Hamilton. "He plays on offense with the aggression of a defensive lineman. He continually knocks the crap out of people. I firmly believe he could end up a great 320 pound offensive tackle."

Scouting Report: Projects as an offensive lineman in college. A terrific athlete that has great techinique and footwork. Explodes off the line, and has good arm extension.

Blum: "I'm an athlete. I have good speed and quickness for my size. I have good technique and strength and my size is also a plus. I just want to get better overall and work on all the little things like technique. I also need to get stronger and improve my agility."
