| Coker rushed for 1,293 yds and 14 touchdowns on 189 attempts as a junior. He missed most of his senior year with a torn harmstring. Coker still rushed the ball 32 times for 450 yards and seven scores
He also competes as a sprinter on the track team in the 100m, 200m and 4x100 relays. Coker clocked a 10.61 in the 100m on his way to winning a state championship during his soph track season.
Coach's Comments: "LaMarcus is a very exciting back with great vision and God-given speed," said Head Coach Thomas McPhail. "He has the potential to take it the distance on every play. LaMarcus could put on more weight because he is still growing in that respect."
Scouting Report:
LaMarcus Coker is the definition of "Home Run Back". He has the explosiveness to score every time he gets the ball. He is much more than a speed back though. He has excellent vision and balance which enables him to use his blocks and clear tacklers in traffic. Once he gets a seam, forget about it... he's gone.
