| Thompson's final SR (9-2) stats: He had 70+ tackles and 2 picks and also rushed for over 1000 yds and 12 TDs. Thompson says he also has a 2.8 GPA/850 SAT--no retake.
JR Stats/Honors: Named first team all-league, metro, and state under-class. Had 950 yards rushing with 18 touchdowns. Caught 15 passes for 360 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, had 79 tackles and five interceptions. Returned five punts and one kickoff for touchdowns.
Coach's Comments: Grant Head Coach Mike Albergheni says of Thompson, "He was all-state as a sophomore and junior. Last year nobody would kick the ball to him. They would rather give up field position than put the ball in his hands. He is terrific at every position, but I really think he will play corner in college. He is a great shutdown corner."
