Brown: "I can play sideline-to-sideline and I think I'm better on the inside because I'm a bigger guy. I can also stuff plays up the middle. I have good speed and I'm aggressive. It's all or none. I just go out there and play. I think I need to get bigger and faster. But some colleges coaches tell me that I can go in and play right now."

Coach's Comments: "Luther is 6-3, 227 and he is just so physically impressive," said Lakewood Head Coach Mike Christensen. "I went to the Chargers training camp last year and he wouldn't look out of place in an NFL camp. He's still a kid but he's built like those guys and on top of that he runs like a Poly running back. He started 11 games as a sophomore. Last year he was the Moore League Defensive Player of the Year and was All-CIF first team."

Scouting Report: Brown isn’t the biggest ‘backer or the fastest ‘backer but this prospect makes plays all over the field. Having said that he has good size, speed and strength. He can rush the passer, chase you down or play the pass. Brown is physical, relentless and nasty. He has a high motor, fights off blocks well, moves laterally and down hill. The bottom line with Luthur Brown is he’s a defensive playmaker. The kid is all over the field making plays. And he plays with intensity and passion.
