| Bscherer has a ton of upside. His best football is ahead of him. Outstanding frame and size. Room to add bulk. Good initial quickness and will get out to the 2nd and 3rd levels to make blocks. Needs to get stronger and also struggles a bit in space. Definitely a "Top 15" Midwest prospect. |
| Biography: |
Bscherer is the #1 prospect in the Badger State and he has given Wisconsin his verbal commitment. He played on both sides of the football as a junior but will play tackle for the Badgers. He was named all-state in 2004.
Coaches Comments - “What I look for in an offensive lineman is balance and footwork,” Coach Gary Rabach said. Jake, as a sophomore, is further along in both of those traits than Casey was as a sophomore. Jake is the total package. He’s so athletic. He plays basketball and he can easily stuff the ball. Jake’s pass blocking is exceptional. He’s already got a tremendous kick-step out of his three point stance. He’s got a great frame and a huge wing-span. Jake is a proto-typical left tackle. Jake, in my opinion, is the best junior in the state of Wisconsin but the scary thing is that he hasn’t reached his full potential yet. He’s going to get a lot better.”
