| Ohio's Lance Smith could be the most underrated back in the Midwest. Most feel Smith will play defense in college. Solid runner that breaks arm-tackles. Will make defenders miss and hits the hole hard. Vision and cutback ability are also very good. Shows burst to and through the hole. Fine athlete. |

| One of Ohio's top running backs in 2005. Ran for 1,668 yards on 230 carries with 17 touchdowns in the 2004 regular season. Smith also played linebacker for Howland and could play running back or safety at the next level. Ran for 1,845 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior. |
