| A big middle linebacker, Smith has excellent anticipation and loves contact. He wraps up well and is able to get the big hit without sacrificing the discipline of his position. Is also a standout fullback and could play either position in college. |
| Biography: |
A huge middle linebacker who could also play fullback on the college level, Smith had 112 tackles with 19 for loss, eight sacks, and three interceptions as a junior. A three-sport athlete, Smith also plays basketball and baseball.
Partial senior stats: Smith reports 78 tackles, four sacks and three interceptions in eight games. Rome (7-1) travels to Gordon Central (Calhoun) on Oct. 21 for a crucial game.
Smith reports a 3.1 GPA/19 ACT/1200 SAT.
Smith: "I'm a good leader on the field and I bring a hard nose to the game. I am a dominant force at stopping the run, but I need to get better in pass coverages and playing in space."
