| Green will be a three-year varsity starter in 2005. He played defensive end as a sophomore. In 2004 (6-4 record), Kevin rushed for 1,069 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged 9.1 yards per carry. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 44 solo tackles, 14 tackles for loss and six sacks as a linebacker. Kevin was named all-conference and all-area; Bench: 290/Squat: 380/Power Clean: 265/Vert Jump: 36.5"
Final senior (10-3) stats: Over 120 total tackles, seven fumbles recovered, three interceptions (all for touchdowns) and two fumbles caused.
Green reports a 3.4 GPA/19 ACT--retake unset--"I know that I'm qualified. I just want to see if I can do better. I haven't set up a date yet for when I'll retake the test."
Green: "On defense I'm a quick learner and a hard worker. I'm also very aggressive, make solid tackles and I'm quick to get to the ball. On offense I've got good speed and I make good cutbacks. I want to work on speed on offense this season, and on defense I want to get better in my drop-back coverage--especially against the tight ends out there." |
