| Daron Rose helped lead his team to the State Championship game at left tackle with excellent footwork, technique, and drive. He has the size to play tackle or guard on the next level and is a smart player capable of picking up a new system early in college. |
| Biography: |
| Rose put his name on the national map with a big time junior season. While playing left tackle, Rose dominated the competition. His team attempted over 230 passes last season and Rose didn’t allow a single sack. He had over 100 pancake blocks, averaging about one every three running plays. Defensively, he had 25 tackles and three sacks. He was a first team All-State pick after the season.
Senior season notes: Jefferson (7-3) travels to Bradenton to take on Southeast for the first round of playoffs on Nov. 11.
Rose reports a 3.3 GPA and a 920 SAT--Oct retake unreported.
Daron Rose: "I'm agile and have quick feet. I can stop the rush and get out well laterally. I'm really athletic and smart and can pick up on the tendencies of the defense," said Rose. "I want to work on staying low and improve my run blocking." |
