| Despite sharing a backfield with a division I-A tailback, Washington still was able to rush for 771 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 79 carries. He also caught 15 passes for 378 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Washington recorded 27 tackles, six interceptions, and deflected eight passes.
Coach's Comment: “What you’re going to see is tremendous speed from Washington,” said Dom Zaccarelli. “He’s got really good size for a kid with that speed. He’s got a frame that’s going to be able to put 20 pounds on and maintain that speed. He’s got the explosive pop to run somebody down and great closing speed.” |
