| With DeSean Jackson off to Cal, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly receiver Terrence Austin is poised to fill the void for the Jackrabbits offense. Final JR (13-1, CIF Div 1 title) stats: 39 catches/648 yds/8 TDs; An accomplished track athlete who would like to double-sport in college, Austin will run for Poly in the Spring. He runs the 110 hurdles (14.5--"I'm more of a hurdler than a sprinter."), does the long jump and high jump (6-8 3/4) as well as the pentathlon. 10.79 100m; Bench: 185x15/Squat: 425/Power Clean: 245/Vert Jump: 37.5"
Final senior stats (9-3): Finished his season year with 46 receptions for 920 yards and eight touchdowns. He also added two touchdowns off kick returns and one punt return for a score.
Austin reports a 2.8 GPA/18 ACT/1200 SAT.
"I do run some great routes and I take pride in that. I'm also good at getting separation from DBs and gaining yards after the catch. I want to work on running more deep routes and just go deep more this year."
