Biography:
JR Season Notes: A very athletic tight end prospect who could develop into an every-down tight end on the next level. At this point, we know Mitchell can be a really effective blocker and a key component and extension of an offensive line in the run game or provide solid pass protection in the passing game. Whether he can snatch pases out of the air and run after the catch is still unknown. But make no mistake the Kilgor TE is athletic and has good speed.
Coach's Comments: “He’s about 6-4, 6-5, 240 pounds and probably caught close to 10 passes last year. We ran more of rushing attack, but when we threw it to him, he caught it. He’s got good hands. And he’s really impressive as a blocker. We had a running back gain over 2,700 yards rushing behind a very good offensive line, and he’s a part of that of that line. So, he helped pave the way. Once he locks on to you, you can forget it.”
