| Ross has great speed and good instincts and has the ability to be an elite cover cornerback. He is a bit undersized, but makes up for it with closing speed. |
| Biography: |
| As a junior, he had 34 carries for 334 yards and five touchdowns. He also caught three passes for 93 yards and returned a kick for a touchdown. On defense, he had 44 tackles, two fumble recoveries and one blocked punt for a touchdown. All stats occurred at Los Osos High School from which Ross transferred after the season to Rancho Cucamonga High School.
Ross was named first team all-league on defense and second team all-league on offense.
SR stats: Rancho Cucamonga is 3-0. Ross said he has two interceptions, over 20 tackles and also returned a kick-off 80 yds for a score.
Ross reports a 2.5 GPA/October 8 first-time SAT--"I'm taking SAT prep courses and raising my GPA. I should be a 2.8 by the end of the year."
Ross: "I have great speed and tackling ability. I am very good at covering. I think I am a shutdown corner."
"I react well when the QB throws to the receiver," says Ross. "I've got some pretty good size for a corner and I've got great closing speed. I want to work on using my hips better when I change direction, and I want to get faster overall."
