Funk will be a three-year starter for the Lions in 2005. He's one of the top quarterback prospects in the Land of Lincoln. Jared was named all-area and all-conference as a junior.
Coaches Comments -- "Jared has absolutely no fear. He throws a very accurate ball. He throws the slant as well as anyone I've seen. He also has a very strong arm; he can make any throw on the field. Jared has the potential to be better than the kid (Brett Basanez) that we sent to Northwestern a few years ago." -- Chris Kirkpatrick.
