| Irby is being recruited as a linebacker and tight end, but his future is on the offensive side of the ball. He might be a bit undersized for tight-end, but he makes up for that with his speed, ability to catch the ball and great hands. |
| Biography: |
| As a junior, helped lead St. Bonaventure to the #1 final ranking in California and a 14-0 season, his first year with the Seraphs. Spent his first two years in Phoenix. Had 42 receptions for 658 yards and 7 touchdowns as an H-Back. Also played defense for the Seraphs, but primarily was on offense.
Irby reports a 3.5 core GPA and said he is qualified on his ACT.
Irby: “I would say my field awareness and how I catch the ball are my best qualities—and I have soft hands,” Irby said. “I finish every block, but there are also some things I need to work on. I’d like to improve my quickness and I’ve been working on my speed lately, and that's another good quality I have. I’m also working hard with my coach on running good routes to perfection.” |
