| Is making the move from defensive end to linebacker so his pass coverage skills will need to be sharpened. Not as quick as you'd like in a linebacker, but is working on it. On the other hand, plays like a defensive end in that he's agressive and strong while also tackling well. |
| Biography: |
| Final senior season stats (10-3): 106 tackles/21 sacks. Named league Defensive MVP, and to the all-CIF, all-County and all-Area teams.
An all-state and all-CIF selection in 2005 for Fontana (Calif.) Kaiser, Chris Carter teamed with his older brother David, now a UCLA d-end, to give Kaiser a berth in the CIF Semifinals in 2005. His junior season had 89 tackles, 13 sacks and one blocked punt as a defensive end, but will likely play linebacker in college. Carter bench presses 340, squats 500 with a vertical jump of 33".
He reports a 3.2 core GPA and an 860 SAT.
Carter in the pre-season: "I'm constantly going. I'm quick off the ball and I'm where I need to be. Coaches notice that. When the ball snaps, I'm already there. I've won the all-state, all-county and all-league awards--which shows my drive. I'm spending this summer in the weight room to get bigger and keep myself muscles fit."
