| Plays with a nasty streak and moves very well. Also uses his hands well in blocking and has good leverage. Needs to work on footwork. Likely projects to guard in college. |
| Biography: |
| Carmichael likely projects as a guard in college. As a junior, he averaged 4-5 pancake blocks a game. He was named first team all-league and second team all-CIF.
Carmichael: "I am nasty and aggressive on the field. I hit hard out there. I have had some great coaching and that has helped me out with my technique."
Notre Dame HS line coach Thane Watkins' comments:
"Incredible lower body strength and size. Loves to root out 300 pound defensive linemen and drive them down the field. I never have to tell him to finish his blocks, because he enjoys it. Very nasty & intense, with the size to play any of the 5 offensive line positions. Has been overshadowed a bit by Sam, but actually graded out higher in some games last season. Will only continue to get better as his upper body strength catches up with his lower body."
