Biography:
Schaeffer was Tennessee's starting quarterback for part of his true freshman year. He transferred after his freshman year. He graduates in December of 2005, but must stay at College of the Sequoias until May of '06 due to transfer rules. He'll arrive at his college of choice in the fall of '06 with three years to play two.

Schaeffer: "I learned a lot from my time at Tennessee. I took on a lot of adversity and am just working hard now at everything. I want to become a more complete quarterback."

Coach's Comments: COS offensive coordinator Andy Siegal says of Scaeffer, "He is a great player and an even better person. A lot of division one guys I have encountered come back to the JC level with major egos. He does not display anything like that. He is a leader on our team on and off the field."
