| A big sturdy frame, sets in there and delivers much like a
tradional pocket-passer would. A comparison to Drew Bledsoe at his stage would be
pretty much dead-on. Has some escapability, but is much better eluding as going
downfield as opposed to side-to-side. Strength helps him get out of dicey situations. |
| Biography: |
| Size, athleticism, great arm and a winning tradition. As a junior in 2005 he completed 62 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,178 yards and 32 TDs en route to Big Nine Co-Player of the Year honors. Had a QB efficiency rating of 170. As a sophomore in 2004 he fired for 2,297 yards and 31 TDs, completing 55 percent of his throws, and earned first-team All-Big 9 honors. In two seasons as a starter, his Southridge team has compiled a 20-4 record. Munns is also a standout in the classroom (3.8 GPA) and on the basketball court, where he earned all-league honors -- as a sophomore -- averaging 17 points per game. Veteran Spokesman-Review sportswriter Vince Grippi calls him a right-handed Matt Leinart.
Munns reports a 3.8 GPA and a 1540 on the new SAT.
Munns: "I have the ability to buy myself time to make the play. I think I do all the little things well. I'm a drop-back, play action passer…that's my style. I think I have the fundamentals down. I definitely want to read more consistently and improve my reads in general. I also want to improve my accuracy throwing as well."
