| Johnson runs hard and always seems under control, running with patience. He can run with power at times and run with elusiveness at times. Johnson has good vision and toughness. He will run between the tackles. Johnson doesn't have great speed but can be a back that moves the chains. |
| Biography: |
| Had a steady junior season (13-1), rushing for 1,490 yards on 151 carries and scoring 24 touchdowns. No game was bigger than his 30-carry, 258-yard, 4-touchdown performance in an upset win over Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame in the CIF Division III Championship game; bench press: 225
Johnson reports a 2.5 core GPA/June 3 SAT = 870.
Johnson: “I think my strength is my confidence and my strength. Every time I step on the field, I think nobody can stop me. I really need to work on my footwork. I can cut good, but I want to get to where I can cut without slowing down. I need to work on my speed too.”
Randy Taylor thinks Brandon is one of the top backs in the state, "he's physical, tough and will block, a good athlete with good quickness. He runs downhill and hits the hole well. When he gets in college, he'll get bigger, stronger and faster...he has a very good upside."
