| Junior: One of the top linebacker prospects in the entire state of Florida, Bynes was outstanding as a junior. Last season he recorded 147 tackles (127 solo), eight forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and two sacks.
Senior: The Broward County Class 4A-5A-6A Player of the Year played in less than eight full games as a senior, but still managed to record 110 tackles. He suffered a knee injury, but the problem wasn’t serious enough to require surgery. A full recovery is expected before reporting to campus this summer.
Bynes reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 740 SAT, which he is retaking on Jan. 27. He is also taking the ACT on Feb. 10.
Bynes:“The thing that makes me different than most other linebackers is my ability to read,” he said. “When you play linebacker, it’s all about experience. The more you play, the quicker you pick up on things. When I come to the line now, I don’t think. I just see things and I’m able to go to the ball naturally. It cuts down on my thinking time and I’m able to get the ball quicker.
"I like playing inside the best," Bynes said. "You get a lot more action. You can see the offense more clearly. I have good vision which helps me get to the ball. I see a play before it happens and get to the play quick. I just get to the line of scrimmage fast and I have good lateral movement. I need to improve my pass coverage and get faster."
