An outstanding baseball prospect, Stanton has great size (6-4, 205) and can play both ways, either at receiver or at corner, while also having the size to play safety. Had six interceptions in 2005 and three touchdowns at receiver.
Notre Dame HS coach Kevin Rooney's comments:
"Incredible athletic ability. Big guy at 6'4, 205 pounds, but with legitimate wide receiver speed. A very instinctive player, with excellent hands and huge leaping ability. Made some catches last year that very few high school players in the nation could have made. Just completed his first year as a wide receiver, and has greatly improved his route running discipline. Averaged 27 yards a reception in 2005, and also had 4 interceptions playing corner. Plays sideline to sideline with terrific range & tackling ability. Also an excellent varsity basketball & baseball player." |
