His senior season shortened due to a broken leg in Week 5, McCants returned the final game of the season to run for 156 yards and two TDs, giving him 778 hashes. Despite playing in only six games, he still led the team in scoring.
His junior season, the one that put him on the map with college recruiters, McCants rushed for 1,439 yards on 224 carries and 13 touchdowns, recording eight 100 yard rushing games.
As a junior, he rushed for 1,439 yards on 224 carries and 13 touchdowns for the Sharks, leading them to the CIF Semifinals (9-4 overall record). Had over 100 yards rushing in eight games. Also added 50 tackles and a pair of sacks from his defensive end position.
McCants has achieved a qualifying score and is fine shape academically, reporting a 1410 SAT.
McCants: "I'm a stronger back. I'm quicker than most guys for my size. I have good open-field vision too. I need to work on reading my blocks a little better. I tend to get tackled too much by one guy."
