Biography:
2005-He had the best freshman quarterback season in ASU's history leading the nation and setting a new ASU record for a pass efficiency rate of 175.01. He led the nation with an average of 10 yards per pass attempt and passed 467 yards in the 2005 Insight Bowl against Rutgers, the most in a sigle game by an ASU freshman and the 9th best in the nation. For the season he completed 156 of 228 passes for 2,273 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also earned second-team Freshman All-American, honors by Scout.com, honorable mention Freshman All-American by Sporting News, and the Mike Bartholomew Most Improved Offensive Player Award. 2004-Was red-shirted as a member of the scout team and won the McBurney Scout Team Award as the offensive player of the year.
