| Cruz has an excellent combination of size, quickness and agility; a terrific athlete who changes direction well and bursts out of cuts. Excels against man-to-man defenses and finds soft spots in zones. Has good body control and hands with the ability to make tough catches in traffic and shield defenders with his frame. Can elude or power over defenders and is a very good weapon in the red zone. |

| Mike Cruz caught 19 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns from his tight end position as a junior, earning first-team All-Conference honors in the process. On the defensive side of the ball, he tallied 38 tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown.
Partial senior (9-1) stats: seven receptions for 135 yards and three touchdowns
Cruz reports a 3.4 core GPA and an 890 SAT.
Cruz: "I'm good at catching the ball, but I'm also a great blocker. I'm just a good athlete overall and have great hands.
"I still want to improve my speed and movement, but I feel like I can improve on every part of my game."
