| A game-disrupting defender on the college level, Woodley positively impacted the Michigan defense since his arrival. Impressive on film, he could be ideally suited as a rush linebacker in the NFL. May need time to get adjusted but will be productive at the next level if placed in the proper scheme. |
| Biography: |
Big-10 Defensive Player of the Year as a senior after posting
36/16.5/12. Junior totals were 48/16/70 after a career-high 70 tackles
as a sophomore. Broke into the starting lineup as a freshman.
Pos:
Hard-working defender who makes a lot of plays up the field.
Explodes off the snap with a quick first step, can bend off the edge
and is fast up the field. Plays with terrific leverage, displays an
array of moves and easily beats immobile blockers. Tenacious, tough to
block and rarely off his feet. Fires through the gaps upfield, quickly
alters his angle of attack and pursues to the flanks, making plays
laterally. Quarterbacks the defensive line and works well with
teammates.
Neg:
Lacks the ideal measurables and may not have a true pro position.
Only occasionally asked to make plays in reverse. Benefited from the
terrific talent around him. |
