| He stars on both sides of the ball at running back and defensive back. On offense he is a powerful back despite being only 188 pounds. Barksdale is a north-south runner with good speed. But he projects on the other side of the ball as a safety and shows the total package. Barksdale is excellent in run support and is a huge hitter. He is dangerous on the blitz and shows excellent speed to the football. Barksdale also has good coverage skills. |

| Named 1st team All-State as a junior by the Clarion Ledger. Had 35 tackles and 4 interceptions. On offense tallied 1,042 yards and 9 TDs.
54 tackles and 5 int's at the corner position for the '05 season.
Helped the Tigers to a National Top 10 ranking for back to back seasons. |
