Effective runner both inside and outside. Good leg strength and good center of gravity. One of those backs that defenders don't get solid hits on. Not great speed but adequate enough to take it the distance.


Biography:
Rushed for 732 yards on 114 carries as a sophomore at Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena, scoring eight touchdowns. Also had five receptions for 115 yards.

Womble finished his junior year with 180 carries for 1250 yards and 15 touchdowns. He benches 370 pounds, squats 510 and has a 34-inch vertical jump; May end up as the top back in Arizona in the class of 2008 and one of the top backs in the nation.

Final senior (3-7) stats: 170 carries for 1,787 yards and 20 touchdowns; one TD receiving and one kick return for a score.

Womble reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 1560 three-part SAT.

Womble: "I have good size and am very elusive. I can avoid tackles and have great breakaway speed. I can take it in for a score from anywhere on the field, but I still want to improve my initial burst and explosiveness. I want to have a faster first step and work on my blocking."
