| Had 86 tackles and a pair of interceptions during the 2005 season at Merced (Calif.) High. Had a career-best 18 tackles in a win over Modesto. Also scored a touchdown on a 23-yard interception return.
He benches 295-pounds and squats 425.
Final senior season stats: 103 tackles/4 fumbles caused/2 fumbles recovered/2 interceptions.
Bland reports a 2.0 core GPA and is scheduled to take his SAT in January.
Bland: "I hit good. I'm able to read plays well and have good coverage skills. I want to work on my man coverage skills and tackling."
