| Ray is a bigger receiver that runs well. He is physical and great in the air. Ray shows excellent concentration and body control. He has good speed and better quickness. Ray can make you miss in the open field, run with some power and run by you. He also will catch in traffic and go over the middle. Ray’s route running is good. Ray also excels in returning punts and kickoffs. |

2007 Stats: 48 catches for 912 yards for an average of 19 yards per catch with 13 touchdowns during his regular senior season.
2007 Awards: Ray was voted All-State First Team by the FSWA at WR his senior year (2007) for the 1A class. All Big Bend Team (All Classes) named by the Tallahassee Democrat First Team WR. AJC Super South 100 WR.
One of the state's top wide receiver prospects, Ray has only been playing football for two seasons. He finished his junior season with 36 catches for 518 yards and five touchdowns. He also returned 11 kickoffs for 274 yards and one touchdown and returned five punts for 160 yards and two scores; Ray benches 240 pounds, squats 340 and has a 39-inch vertical jump.
Ray, who also plays basketball and runs track, played at Chiles High the last two seasons but has transferred to North Florida Christian for his senior season.
Ray reports a 2.8 core GPA and a 980 SAT, which he plans to retake in the fall.
Ray: "I'm very strong and come off the line well. I'm physical and can jump over most guys. I just go up and get the ball. I'm almost 6-4. It's unfair sometimes.
"I want to still improve my quickness off the line. I think I can get even quicker and want to get that extra step and be able to breakaway from the fast corners. I just want to have that extra cushion."
