| Newsome is an exceptional athlete and his track prowess shows just how explosive he is. Newsome is a very mobile quarterback who gives his team a chance for a big play every time he takes off. He has above average arm strength and can zip the ball around. He is accurate, but could get even better. Newsome is a competitor and a leader which is something that is apparent early watching him play. He is not a combine or camp warrior. Bob Lichtenfels |

Newsome: "I can get away from defenders and my strongest attribute is my confidence. I know I can get the ball down the field. I'm pretty strong up top and can really throw. I'm also really fast and I got fourth at the Nationals in the 55m high hurdles (7.97).
"I'd really like to improve on everything. I want to get smarter on the field and I want to read the defense better. I'm a student of the game and love to keep learning."
