College: 2000 - Established himself as outstanding back as true freshman...finished as team's third leading rusher despite missing two games with knee injury...played in nine games including two starts in the season's final two games....led all Georgia RB's with five TD's ...named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for performance against Ole Miss as he became first Georgia back this season to rush for more than 100 yards carrying 21 times for 144 yards and one TD....named Honorable Mention True Freshman All-America by Rivals.com ...named to Freshman All-America third team by The Sporting News and to the Knoxville News Sentinel All-SEC Freshman Team....2001 - Missed most of spring drills with broken bone in his foot.....after turning in strong first half of the season, was limited the second half because of a hip flexor/groin injury suffered at Vanderbilt (Oct. 13)....missed outings vs. Kentucky (Oct. 20) and at Ole Miss (Nov. 17) and was limited in games vs. Florida (Oct. 27) vs. Auburn (Nov. 10), and at Georgia Tech (Nov. 24)....finished second on the team in rushing with 548 yards....had phenomenal day in season-opening win vs. Arkansas State (Sept. 1), posting career highs in yards rushing (158), rushing touchdowns (three) and longest career run (49)....gained 76 yards on 22 totes vs. South Carolina (Sept. 8)....rushed for 95 yards on a career-high 25 carries and scored one touchdown vs. Arkansas (Sept. 29)....rushed for 69 yards on nine carries at Vanderbilt (Oct. 13) before being forced to leave the game with a hip flexor injury ....recipient of Hugar and Elizabeth Wilkes Endowed Football Scholarship....did see limited action in 2001 Music City Bowl vs. Boston College....2002 - Smith had a season high 126 yards on 21 carries and one touchdown versus Alabama. The 126 yards is the third longest total of his career. Smith rushed for his first two touchdowns of the season versus New Mexico State. He had 79 yards on 12 carries. Smith captured his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game against South Carolina. He set a career high in rushing attempts with 27, gaining 103 yards. Smith tallied his first 100-yd. rushing game in the season opener against Clemson. The junior carried the ball 22 times for a total of 105 yards (4.6 yards per carry) in that contest.
