| Shumate finished his junior season with 94 tackles, eight sacks and two fumbles caused. He benches 300 pounds, squats 400 and has a 34-inch vertical jump.
Shumate reports a 3.8 core GPA, a 25 ACT and a 1700 SAT.
Shumate: "I like stuffing the middle and stopping the run. I get to the quarterback well and like blitzing. I play hard-nosed, hard-hitting football. I love hitting people and making them think twice about coming back my way again.
"I want to improve my coverage skills and be a more complete linebacker. I just want to do whatever I need to do to get better and help my team."
