| McDonald is a player with good fundamentals. He is a sound tackler and plays with discipline. McDonald has good size and moves well. He has nice explosion and a good burst when he’s in attack mode. McDonald also does a nice job off sifting through traffic or shedding blocks to fill the hole and make the play. He also has enough speed and quickness to play end to end. |

| Started at linebacker for Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame every game and was one of only two juniors selected to the all-CIF Pac-5 Division team after a stellar 2006 season. Finished the 2006 season with 101 tackles, 9.5 sacks and five forced fumbles. Father Mike played at USC and in the NFL. |
