Preyear rushed for 1,020 yards on 128 carries and caugth eight passes for 142 yards. Preyear admirably played through injury and scored nine touchdowns this season for the Warriors.
Preyear was listed among the Press Register's Elite 18 Best of the rest for his senior season.
Davidson coach Fred Riley: "He had a really solid sophomore year. He was hurt last year (2006), but still ran for about 900 yards. Physically he reminds me of Ken Darby. He makes people miss."
Preyear rushed for 593 yards on 48 attempts as a sophomore.
