| An explosive wide receiver with a good combination of hands, body control, and breakaway speed.
2007: Lane recorded 55 receptions for 1,072 yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior season. He was named the Fayette County Offensive Player of the Year, All-State honorable mention and named his team's best offensive back.
Lane says he bench presses 310 pounds, squats 430 and has an impressive 38-inch vertical jump.
Lane reports a 2.5 core GPA and a 23 ACT.
Lane: "I have good speed and great hands. I run great routes and I'm very capable with the ball in my hands. I try to use my speed and I'm quick all over the field. I can make people miss, but I'm not a big flashy wide receiver. I just get the job done.
"I still want to learn how to read defenses better. I'm also working on my route running. I do a lot of speed training and we work on my flexibility and routes all the time."
Lane is also a highly recruited baseball player. He played center field and in '07 and had a .416 batting average, with one home run and 29 stolen bases. "I'm not sure which sport I'll play," Lane said. "Schools have mentioned the possibility of playing both and it'll just depend on how I feel when it comes down to it.
"I love both sports. It just depends on the season. During the fall I love football, then during the spring it's baseball. I've really always played both, but I've been playing baseball longer."
