| Biography: |
| As a first-team All-Conference as a linebacker in 2006, Demetrius Guice played most of his junior season with a broken right hand and that's why he saw most of his time on defense. He finished the year with 55 tackles and two sacks; Guice benches 260 pounds, squats 330 and runs the forty in 4.8.
Guice took his SAT on Oct. 6. "I have like a 2.6 GPA now. I took summer school so my grades are improving and I'm working really hard to make sure that won't be a problem."
Guice: "I think I am a good blocker and I use my height as an advantage. I can get the jump ball in the red zone and I have all right speed for my size. I also run great routes and have soft hands.
"Overall, I'd like to improve my strength and speed. I want to lower my forty time from a 4.8."
He runs really well for his size, and he has really, really soft hands," says Central Catholic head man Steve Pyne.
"His blocking ability is phenomenal. He's just a long, long athlete."
