Winter caught 192 passes during his four year career with Tampa-Plant for over 4,000 yards scoring 44 touchdowns.
In 2007 Winter was awarded the Guy Toph Award for the best football player in Hillsborough County. He caught 75 passes for 1,668 yards and 18 touchdowns during his senior season (2007). Winter was selected FSWA All-State First Team WR also.
One of the state's most productive wide receivers in 2006, Winter was Mr. Football Robert Marve's favorite target en route to the Class 4A state championship. Winter finished the season with 90 catches for over 1700 yards and 20 touchdowns. He set a state record by catching 13 passes in the state game alone. The 90 total for 2006 was a school record. |
