Stokes is very physical and plays bigger than he is. He is tough to check in man coverage. Stokes possesses sprinters speed and has that extra gear. He has outstanding ball skills and concentration. If a ball is thrown in his direction he is coming down with it. Very intense competitor who lays it all on the line every play. Runs solid routes and will catch the ball in traffic. Biography:
Stokes transferred from Penn Charter to Northeast High School for his junior season.

As a sophomore at Penn Charter he caught 10 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He also made 30 tackles, intercepted four passes and returned a punt for a score.

Stokes broke two school records at Northeast this season, one for most receiving yardage in one game with 177 yards and the other being the all-time single season receiving record. He caught 28 passes for 617 yards and six touchdowns on the season.

As a senior, Stokes did not play every game on offense, allowing other senior receivers to get some snaps late in the season and only playing defense at times as his younger brother was injured at quarterback. He finished the year with 45 catches for 555 yards and five touchdowns. He was named 4A All-State First Team and selected to the U.S. Army All-American Game.

He runs a 10.8 100m, a 22.6 200m and a 14.1 110m hurdles; Stokes can bench 265 pounds, squat 425 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.

Stokes reports a 3.2 core GPA and a 1400 SAT, which he plans to retake.

Stokes: "I have a will to win. I have good speed and run good routes. I'm a student of the game and am always working on my game. I have great hands and can catch anything.

"You never stop working to get better and I'm always catching and trying to improve my hands. I want to be the best receiver in the country. I'm also doing a lot of speed training and working on my routes a lot."
