2008 Vincent Sanders was named 1st team All-State by the Clarion Ledger after making 22 receptions for 502 yards and eight touchdowns. He also rushed for an additional two scores and had one kick return for a touchdown.
Defensively he had 28 solo stops with eight interceptions (four which were returned for touchdowns). Sanders says he can squat 320-pounds and claims a 37-inch vertical jump.
Partial senior (10-1) stats: Sanders missed four games with a fractured jaw, but still managed to score 15 touchdowns in the seven games he played in. He also had one interception defensively.
Sanders plans to major in criminal justice and reports a 2.7 core GPA and has 15 ACT, which he will retake on Oct. 24.
Sanders: “I think I’m a fast receiver. I can make the tough catches in traffic and run good routes. I’m also a good leader on the field.
“Plus, I also play free safety so I have good instincts and can read the ball well.
“I want to improve on every part of my game. I want to improve my footwork, my routes and I really want to get faster and breakaway better.”
