| Kyle Van Noy was an all-conference and all-area selection as a sophomore and was also an all-league performer in track (4x100, 4x200 and 4x400) for Reno (Nev.) McQueen. He helped lead his team to the finals of the state championship and a 13-2 record. Van Noy says he can bench 255-pounds and squat 350. He credits himself with a 32-inch vertical jump.
Van Noy finished his junior season with 69 tackles, 24 tackles for loss, seven sacks, seven fumbles caused and two interceptions. On offense, he had 805 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns.
Final senior stats: Van Noy played linebacker and receiver during his senior season, helping lead his team to a perfect 14-0 record and the 4A state championship. He had 35 receptions for 731 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also finished with 79 total tackles (55 solos) and 14 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, six fumbles caused, four fumbles recovered and one interception for a score. He even rushed the ball 10 times for another 121 yards.
Van Noy reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 1200 SAT.
Van Noy:"I have great lateral movement on defense. I have pretty good technique and good football IQ. On offense, I run great routes and I can get open fast. I'm also pretty big and can be explosive, but I still want to work on my speed. I want to be faster when breaking away and get better separation after the catch."
