| As a junior, Darius Austin was named First Team All-District; he benches 255 pounds, squats 375 pounds and has a 37-inch vertical jump. He also runs the 300m hurdles in 39.8 seconds.
Partial senior (5-3) stats: 12 receptions for 136 yards.
Austin reports a 3.5 core GPA and a 56 total ACT.
Austin: "I know the game really well. My dad is my position coach and has taught me to do all the little things well. I catch the ball well and can get some good yards after the catch. I can also make key blocks to free up the running back.
"One thing that I really need to keep working on is going up against the taller defensive backs. I need to time my jumps better and not go up too early."
