2005: Selected to Doak Walker Watch List… Rushed for 67 yards on eight carries in annual spring G-Day game… Named Most Consistent Running Back following spring drills… Ran for a career-high 144 yards and one touchdown against South Carolina, which was his fifth 100-yard rushing game of his two-year career… Notched his first career touchdown pass (to Joe Tereshinski III) versus Florida… Led the Bulldogs in rushing in the SEC Championship Game with 62 yards and in the Nokia Sugar Bowl with 78 yards… Led Bulldogs with 736 total rushing yards… Best Game - 144 rushing yards on 20 carries, 1 TD vs. South Carolina… Recipient of Peter and Kay Amann Football Scholarship… Part of SEC Championship team that went 10-3.
2004: Played in 11 games including three starts… Led team in rushing with 172 carries for 875 yards (6th best in the SEC) and eight TDs which also led the team… Best games vs. Kentucky (22x130 yards and three TDs), Vanderbilt (17x122 yards), Arkansas (23x107 yards)… He and fellow freshman Danny Ware combined for 190 yards on 34 carries in Georgia’s 45-16 win over LSU and combined for 249 yards on 41 carries in 33-3 victory over Vanderbilt… Named recipient of the Offensive Newcomer of the Year Award at the conclusion of the 2004 season… Also recipient of Victors Club Award for outstanding grades in eight or more games… Leading rusher in 2005 Outback Bowl victory over Wisconsin with 111 yards on 16 carries… Named to SEC Coaches All-SEC Freshman Team… Team went 10-2 capped by an Outback Bowl victory.
High School: Tucker High School, coached by Bill Ballard… Played in just seven games as a senior due to a broken leg he suffered in a game vs. South Forsyth… Rushed for 1,632 yards and 13 TDs as a junior and in seven games during his senior year rushed for 941 yards and 17 TDs… Team finished with a 12-1 record in junior season and a 12-2 record in his senior season… Also started at defensive back.
