| Could play either running back or wide receiver in college with his strong lower body and great hands on the perimeter. Has the vision and toughness to be a twenty carry back and smart enough with experience as a wide receiver to find soft spots in zone and create separation in man coverage. Not going to be an amazing forty time, but he can make people miss inside a box and should be best suited as a slot receiver. |
| Biography: |
| Tony Creecy finished his junior season with 48 receptions for 863 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also rushed 22 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He says he can bench 250-pounds, squat 315 and has a 30-inch vertical jump.
Creecy plans to major in either broadcast journalism or sports management. He reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 790 SAT (math and verbal only). He is retaking the SAT on June 6.
Does Creecy prefer wide receiver or running back? “I don’t have a favorite,” Creecy said. “Everybody is recruiting me for both so I’m not sure which position I’ll play.
“My hands are really good and I’m tough too. I’m the guy you can send up the middle and make the catch. I know I’ll probably get knocked down but I don’t worry about that. I just do it.
“I also have great vision. I’m real good with the ball and can find the openings fast and have a feel for what’s going to happen.
“I want to work on coming off breaks better. I’ve improved my routes a lot but I’m still working on my footwork.”
